The Dave Snow Four Skegness & Filey 1975
1975 also marked the end of "The Dave Snow Four". We failed to secure meaningful contracts after our summer season at Butlins, so we went our seperate ways.
I joined a hard rock band called "Strife". http://www.butterworth01.f2s.com/ They had already made their first album (Rush) in 1975 and were ready to make it big, or so everybody thought. Soon after I joined Strife, we went on tour with Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) and then recorded our second album (Back To Thunder) in 1978. We toured constanly, so I lost touch with Dave Snow, Lawrence and Steve. By 1979, punk rock had taken over the music scene and that marked the end of an era and the end of Strife. Rather than join a punk band, I sold my drums and set sail for a new adventure in America, where I have lived happily ever since.
Anyone know the where abouts of Dave Snow, Lawrence Cook and Steve Dickinson contact me webmaster@bygonebutlins.com
