Do you think anyone ever got any old Butlins items?

Hi folks, I keep looking on the internet and rugularly on here reminiscing about the old Pwllheli camp and I got to wondering if anyone got some real parts of the place?
I know someone had been looking for a chairlift without success but surely someone was able to obtain something, maybe an old chalet door or a canoe from the boating lake. On ebay I've seen old dodgem cars no mention of butlins and also the occasional coin operated Dalek ride.
I think I get lost on the internet sometimes trying a bit too hard to find things like the old train that went to the beach and things like that, I just wonder if they are still among us somewhere?
More photo's for the site would be great too, which I'm guilty of not putting my own on.
Anyway, it'd be great to know of anything and any pictures, I'll keep looking and keep popping onto this site. Many thanks to whoever runs and funds it, I love it :D

Having done a bit more searching I found this picture of a Butlins Filey chairlift. Some proof of a piece of history in existence. I hope there is more stuff out there and I also hope nobody minds me using the picture. It's in someones front garden! 8)

This is Paul Wray's chairlift carriage who is the author of the book Filey Thanks for the Memories LINK HERE

I have nothing quite as exciting as Paul.

I have a piece of glass from the underwater viewing windows from the Filey indoor pool, a few sets of chalet keys, two flags from the late 80's that are over 13 fool long. You may think it a little odd but I have the track layout plans for the Filey holiday camp branch line.

We know the whereabouts of one of the Minehead Monorail cars and had the pleasure of reliving the experience of riding on it in 2009 with Pushbutton. LINK HERE

Ahh Brilliant! I have read about the old monorail and seen the pictures. There must be more I just don't think it's documented on the internet. I've been wondering lately if there was anyone who could get the old plans and do a computer mock up and be able to have a walk about the old camps, how cool would that be?

I have been saying the same to my eldest (Aaronought) for a couple of years now and he thinks I'm potty, lets hope someone takes up the idea.

That would be an amazing experience to take a virtual tour around the old camps, we wouldn't want to leave though :(

I tried to do something like that using rollercoaster tycoon 3 but there wasn't enough building elements to get the look right, plus even though you get quite a large map is wasn't large enough to fit everything in for a full camp. Also RCT3 isn't particularly good when it comes to fitting buildings out internally, and the full old Butlins experience needs internal as well as external environments for it to work.

It would work well in terms of having plenty of people walking around the camp and rides that actually work including monorails and chairlifts though.

However if someone who knows how to do professional 3D environment graphics could put such a thing together properly it would be amazing. I bet lots of people would pay good money for a copy. There could be one for each camp and the possibilities are almost unlimited!
You get into the groove and do the Push Button Click. YEAH!
