Just a quick update.the annex is partially demolished.the roofs gone and the internal floor,but the shell still stands.the medical building looks still in use,but isn'nt fenced off.the old go cart track is still being used as a staff car park.

Interesting because I heard the medical centre was fenced off as was the old go-kart track, and that the medical centre was to be demolished in the next few weeks.

Could it be that they've had a change of heart and decided to save it? I doubt it to be honest but it would be good.

As for the annexe, I am shocked to hear the internal floor is gone already. How did you know that?

Hi push i'm at butlins.the annex is stripped down to the girders on the launderette side,spent 15mins having a good look last night.the outer walls are still intact.asume when butlins shuts they'll soon flatten it.the launderette is now part of the spar building at the back.to confirm the medical building is not fenced off and has not been stripped out.i was talking about minehead reds.

I got word last night that both the Annexe and the medical centre are now completely flattened. Not sure about Rose Cottage at this stage.

I was amazed at how fast this happened. I pretty much knew they'd be getting on with it now but I thought the annexe would take another few weeks to finish off. I'm afraid we will all be greeted by a slightly less complete camp when we next visit Minehead.

Another couple of slabs of precious Butlin's history gone forever, but never forgotten.
