For those who don't know, Rose Cottage is a historic part of the Minehead camp.

My understanding is that it was there before Sir Billy Butlin even bought the land, and was the premises used by the Minehead cricket club.

When Billy bought the land, he allowed the club to continue to use Rose Cottage, and an area of land adjacent to it (now part of the carpark).

As such I believe it has a special place in both local history for the area, and British social and cultural history as the original structure on the land that became Butin's Minehead, and as a structure that was important to the local community and given special treatment by Sir Billy.

If you object to this being demolished, please go to the link below and write your comments there urgently!!!
