i've seen the monorail before but good work on the giant, these 2 i've heard of before but would love to see if anything else crops up.maybe a few chairlift carriages wouldn't go a miss,if theres any lying around anywhere.its still hard to believe that of all the chairs there were only 1 exists in paul wrays garden, strange how they all just dissapeared.

The ones at Drayton Manor are very similar (I went on them last weekend) and I am wondering if maybe they came from one of the Butlins camps. Unfortunately I don't know for sure but maybe. I'll try sending them an email.

I'm sure Paul said during his time at Filey he saw all the Chairlift cars broken up for scrap except the one he got. I also heard that the Barry cars ended up a Blackpool pleasure beach but that has also been removed although the pylons remained as they were used for lighting and park communications. I'll have a look in the morning to see if they are still in situ. This I would guess could mean the rest of the ride has been scraped.

the drayton manor chairs are similar to butlins but have a slightly more rounder shape to the seating area, doubt the were butlins chairs as they would of had to be modified to be the shape they are now.
alex i also remember paul saying all the filey chairs were crushed, but that still leaves the skeggy, minehead, pwhelli and ayr chairs, which combined must of been over 120 chairs, and seemingley none survived, apart from pauls you would expect more to of cropped up somewhere.
i'm fairly sure alex the blackpool pylons have gone.

Those chairlifts have been at Drayton manor since before I was born, in fact my Mom says they were there when she was a child (1960's) so I'm afraid they didn't come from Butlin's.
