Butlins 75th Anniversary Premier Club Celebration Breaks – The Dates

Hi Everyone,

We appreciate planning with friends and family, arranging time off work and organising travel arrangements all takes time so to help with your preparations we are delighted to announce the following dates for our eagerly awaited 75th Anniversary Premier Club Celebration Breaks. There will be celebrations happening throughout 2011 on every family break at every Resort – but these three 4 night breaks (one at each Resort) will include extra activities and shows that celebrate our history with our most loyal guests.

The Dates:
    Butlins Bognor Regis – 7th March 2011
    Butlins Minehead – 28th March 2011
    Butlins Skegness – 4th April 2011

We haven’t officially launched this break yet to anyone other than Butlins Memories and Bygone Butlins – so you won’t find the details on our site (we just wanted to make sure you saved the dates). Hold fire on booking straight away and we’ll give you more information on the break and any special offers that are available as soon as we can.

What’s on?
We’re still putting the final touches to the entertainment plan so we can’t give you all the details right now. What we can guarantee though is that it will include lots of nostalgia and celebration of our heritage. We’ll let you know as soon as it is all confirmed.

David M ^_^

Hi Everyone,

As you know in the absence of an announcement from us about the 75th celebrations some forum members were planning their own so in an attempt to help members of both Butlins Memories and Bygone Butlins we, without making an official public announcement, informed members about some of our 75th celebration plans.

Generally before making any announcements about a break we like to have everything in place such as entertainment, marketing, Teams briefed and for us to be in a position to take bookings via web, phone etc. In this case because of our early unofficial release of details we are ahead of ourselves and some of these actions have still to take place.

While we catch up with ourselves we ask for patience and understanding. We also hope that the unofficial release of the 75th Anniversary break details has been beneficial and enabled people to better plan for next year.

just looked these breaks up on the butlins website, and found these breaks being advertised as normal family entertainment breaks,no mention of any 75th anniversary celebration at all.
so the question has to be how serious are butlins taking what is a fantastic mile stone, are butlins planning to let next season go by with as little mention of the 75th year as they can get away with.
richard bates and david m are good at making all the right noises, but what exactly is planned.
any member of this or the other site who book and find nothing on apart from an hours glamouros granny competition will be very dissapointed.

butlins is 75 next year, time for the management to shout it from the roof tops.

Thanks David for the Booking code.

Just booked for both Minehead and Skegness.

£75 for a silver, half board 4 night break is a bargain, even the booking agent couldn't believe the price, it's cheaper than staying at home.

Have Fun !!!

:) Hi All,

I work at Butlins and as you all know we’ve got these lovely 75th birthday breaks coming up for those who want to join us in a bit of Butlins nostalgia. Here's a bit more info about what we're planning.

There will be shows, bands and even Knobbly Knees and Glamorous Grandmothers competitions on each of these breaks. And if you’re an avid Butlins collector, come along with any badges or memorabilia that you’d like to share. The fabulous Roger Billington, head of our archive (and onetime Redcoat), will be there to answer all your questions and he’ll have lots of badges available for you to swap. We’ll also have sequence dancing lessons and famous names, who’ve been Butlins favourites over the decades including Alvin Stardust, Bobby Davro, Mud II & The Dreamers.

All the breaks are 4 night midweeks: Bognor Regis – 7 March 2011, Minehead – 28 March 2011, Skegness – 4 April 2011 and you can book them now at

Hope to see you there!
